The night before, make sure you eat a good meal and get plenty of rest. HYDRATE. The day of your appointment, eat a hardy snack/meal and avoid drinking dehydrants (tea, coffee, etc) on their own. Do not participate in excessive use of any recreational substance before your appointment.

At the beginning of your appointment, we will review your design and make any requested/ adjustments. You will then sign a release form and provide your valid ID. After your stencil is complete, we will place it on you as many times as necessary until we are both happy! Yes, I nit-pick to the millimeter. After letting your stencil dry for 5-10 minutes - It’s time to tattoo!

Keep wrapping on for 2-4 hours. This allows the tattoo to bleed without the plasma in your blood drying out and possibly causing a scab.
Carefully remove wrapping. If it sticks to the skin, then rinse with warm (not hot) water until bandage loosens. Expect to see blood, ink, and plasma on the wrapping and the tattoo itself.
Using CLEAN HANDS, gently rinse the tattooed area with lukewarm water, making sure to remove excess blood, ink, and plasma.
Thoroughly wash the tattooed area with lukewarm water and anti-bacterial soap (I use Dial Gold). DO NOT scrub with your nails, sponge, or a loofah, only use your fingertips and palms.
After thoroughly cleaned, rinse with cool water to tighten and close pores.
Pat dry with a clean, dry towel or clean paper towel, and let tattoo rest in open air for 10 minutes before applying product. Do not wipe.
Using CLEAN HANDS, apply a small dab of moisturizer or balm to the tattooed area and rub in the small dab of product over the entire tattooed area, creating a very thin layer. You want the skin to feel a little tacky. Do not apply a thick or gooey layer of product. (Under moisturizing can cause some discomfort, but over moisturizing can keep the tattoo from healing properly!)
Repeat the “Wash-Dry-Apply” steps (#4-7) twice daily: in the morning and before bed for 2 weeks post-tattoo. After 2 weeks, continue to moisturize tattoo until fully healed (typically 3-4 weeks).
To maintain, after your tattoo is fully settled, moisturize your tattoos daily! Don’t spend too much time outside without sun protection. Same rules as when you’re actively healing, soap just isn’t involved as much!
Send pictures of freshly settled design 4 to 5 weeks post-tattoo. This will allow me to get a good look at how you healed and I can schedule you for any necessary touch ups. Touch-ups are FREE!
DO NOT enter public swimming spaces, bodies of water such as lakes, oceans, and rivers, hot tubs (including personal), sun bathe, tan, etc. No baths. Showers are 100% okay, we just do not want the tattoo to soak! You are healing an open wound. Please be mindful of the placement and the possible infections you can receive outside of my care. Cover the healing tattoo if you work in healthcare, work closely with animals, raw meat, or out in the sun.

Yes!
If you would like to get a basic idea without filling out the form, please contact me using this form. The best way I can give you the most accurate quote is for you to come by the studio in person :-)
I promise I don’t bite! I only stab.

I only tattoo individuals who are 18 years or older. Photo ID is required at appointment.
-
No - Currently, I am by appointment only!
But fear not! I visit other shops, participate in guest spots, and hop around conventions.
Please look out for events where I am taking walk up appointments!
I host a monthly Open House that folks can come see the studio, talk ideas, and book appointments! These events are meant to be fun with games, education, and community :-)

Flash is repeatable! Pre-drawn designs are not.
Historically, flash in westernized tattoo culture, has been a collection of work that any artist can repeat or take part in.
Typically, through honor based practices, artists who partake in this communal well, should also produce flash in return for the rest of the community. If there is a flash design you would like, but cannot get tattooed by me for whatever reason, please reach out and I will grant you a tattoo ticket! Please support your local artist!
Flash is sold in many forms through published sketch books to wall art. I urge you to take time to further research this! It is very cool.
-
Yes, you may edit flash and pre-drawn designs unless otherwise noted. Limitations on edits will be noted alongside flash!

I understand that life happens, but please do your best to arrive on time to your appointment!
I very much enjoy taking my time with clients - I believe that tattooing can truly connect people and provide a sense of much needed validation - but our appointments are not unstructured hang-out sessions, and starting on time is imperative to the quality of your experience.
If it is looking like you are going to be at least 10-15 minutes late to your appointment, just let me know as soon as you can :-)
After 30 minutes, your deposit will be forfeit and will no longer apply towards the total of your tattoo.
If you are more than 45 minutes to an hour late - your deposit is forfeit, your appointment will be rescheduled, and another deposit will be required. If this happens twice, you will no longer be able to book with me.
Please take the extra time to check your route the night before your appointment. Please keep travel time and traffic in mind and plan accordingly. If you are stopping somewhere before your appointment - do your best to leave 10-15 minutes earlier than you usually would.
Cancellation/Reschedule Policy - please let me know at least 48 hours prior to your appointment if you need to cancel or reschedule.
Deposits are non-refundable, but will carry over if you decide to reschedule. If you need to reschedule the same appointment a second time, your original deposit will be forfeit and another will be required.
If you are consistently cancelling last minute, you will no longer be able to book.
*NOTE : I understand that reasons for lateness/cancellation vary on a case to case bases - so please keep me informed the best you can.
